Mine Safety Fact:  Mine safety consultants take a variety of approaches to mine safety.  Behavior based safety consultants focus on workforce behaviors.  Other consultants emphasize the development of environmental solutions and engineering controls.  Some consultants focus on changing the safety culture of the organization, emphasizing that safety is a value.  There are also consultants who specialize in regulatory compliance, development of motivational and awareness programs, incident and injury rate analysis and, of course, mine safety training.
